Carsten Ullrich

is an Associate Researcher at Shanghai Jiao Tong University and at the Centre for E-Learning Technology, Saarbrücken, Germany (CeLTech). His research focuses on Technology-Enhanced Learning, more specifically how to use Web technology to make learning more interesting, motivating and persistent. At SJTU, he is responsible for the European research project ROLE that focuses on Responsive Open Learning Environments. Dr. Ullrich has longstanding experience in international research and publications. He has published over 70 research articles, in journals and conferences, and also a book on using Artificial Intelligence techniques for learning.
