Rosa Maria Bottino

is a senior researcher of the Italian National Research Council (CNR) and she is currently the Director of CNR Institute for Educational Technology (ITD-CNR). Her research interests are in the field of educational research and the role of information and communication technologies for improving teaching and learning processes. She is the author of more than 150 scientific publications both in national and international journals, books and conference proceedings. Rosa Maria Bottino promoted and participated to both national and European projects and Networks of Exellence in Technology Enhanced Learning. Dr. Bottino received international awards like IFIP Silver Core Award and IFIP Outstanding Services Award. As far as the research area of computer games based learning, dr. Bottino lead the national project Logivali on the use of digital games at primary school level and participates in the EC funded network of Excellence on Serious Games (GALA).
