is Associate Professor in Linguistics at the University for Foreigners Perugia (Italy). She works in the areas of corpus linguistics, computational linguistics and applied linguistics. Her main research interests are pos-tagging of Italian, language of media,  language variation in computer-mediated communication and acquisition of Italian as a second language. She has created the Perugia corpus, a reference corpus of written and spoken Italian.

• use of social media in informal language learning;

• teacher training in the use of ICT and web-based learning;

• Online Courses for the training of Online Tutors

• Tweetaliano, the biggest community of Italian speakers and learners on Twitter

• L2O, a social network for teachers of Italian to share teaching materials
