In action

The ISIM_garage was founded in 2000 as an interdisciplinary space in which one can experience and experiment, to offer anyone (in particular students) the opportunity to go beyond the barriers of specialized knowledge in order to feel immersed in the complexity that characterizes the dynamics of human experiences mediated by the machine.
No coincidence that the activities of the garage are conducted almost exclusively by young people: students of Tor Vergata University that come to the garage to get ready to surf in the 'vast sea' machine-mediated communication and design for the experience; students from other faculties and/or universities that wish to hybridize their base knowledge with the experience gathered by the garage.

The interest in machine-mediated experiences and the focus on interdisciplinarity could only lead to a 360 degrees interest in all design aspects that make up the DESIGN FOR THE EXPERIENCE: the development of vision, the design and development of contextualized and customizable processes and methods, the design and development of new monitoring methods suitable for qualitative and quantitative detection and analysis of emergent behaviors, design of new concepts of smart artifacts, spaces and services, rapid prototyng.

This section describes the 'exploration lines' of the ISIM_garage, the processes developed and adopted in the design process, a description of some 'highlights' and some ongoing projects, the list of services that can be supplied by the garage.
