Sorin Maxim

is the State Secretary of Regional Development and Public Administration Ministry of Romania and expert in regional development.

Prior to occupying the position of State Secretary, mister Sorin Maxim was the general director of West Regional Development Agency since 2001 and the president of the Regional Development Agencies Association in Romania (ROREG) starting with April 2015.

Also, prior to occupying the position of State Secretary, he was part of different clusters and associations in West Region – coordinating them in order to support regional development through business environment.

With a BA in Informatics - Mathematics and also in Economic Sciences, he has an extended project management background and helped build the regional development system of Romania and the implementation of programmes and projects with European financing.
